TechCon SoCal 2025 Technology and Investment Conference Policies
By participating in the TechCon SoCal Technology and Investment Conference (the “Event”) or any part of the Event, hosted by F5A d/b/a TechCon SoCal (the “Company,” “Us,” or “We”), each individual (“Participant(s)” or “You”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Conference Policies.
Accessibility:
We strive to make Company events accessible to participants. If you have questions or require special accommodations or aid related to a disability, please notify us at least 4 weeks in advance by emailing support@techconsocal.com outlining your needs and request for accommodations.
Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy:
Submission of registration online, by phone or email, constitutes official registration and intent to attend the Event. Full payment must be received in order to gain entry to the Event. Limited registration may be permitted at the door on the day of the Event.

Registration
Registration is conducted through a third party that maintains separate terms of service and privacy policy. Company’s registration policy is separate from that of the third party, however, you should maintain compliance with all terms. Registration confirmation is automatically generated and sent to the email address provided during registration. If you did not receive your registration confirmation, please contact sales@techconsocal.com.
Cancellation and Transfer Policy
Registration for the Event is non-refundable. If circumstances change and you cannot attend the Event, you may be permitted to transfer your registration to another person in limited circumstances. To request that your registration be transferred, please contact us at support@techconsocal.com.
Event Cancellation or Modification
The Company reserves the right to cancel, alter, modify, or reschedule the Event for any reason at the Company’s sole discretion and shall not be held liable for any costs incurred by Participants due to due changes or cancellations.
In the unlikely event that the Company must cancel the Event for any unavoidable reasons, the Company shall not provide refunds. If the Event is cancelled without an unavoidable reason, a partial refund may be provided by Company after paying all incurred costs. In the event that the Event is rescheduled, no refunds will be provided by Company, and existing tickets shall be honored for the Event on the revised date.
The Company reserves the right to close registration when tickets are sold out.
For these reasons, Participants are advised against making non-refundable travel arrangements. Should you purchase non-refundable airline tickets or make non-refundable hotel reservations, you do so at your own risk.
The third party platform used by Company for Event registration may have its own refund and insurance policies that differ from these Policies. Company is not affiliated with any ticket insurance or refunds that the third party platform may offer during the registration process.
Communications and Contact Information
For the purposes of these Terms, the term “Contact Information” means Participants’ names, company or school names, job titles, address, email address, and phone number.
Your Personal Information may be disclosed to third parties, including: (1) service providers or vendors that assist with operations, payment processing or data analytics; (2) to comply with all legal obligations; (3) in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of Company assets; (4) as necessary to protect and defend the privacy rights, safety, or property of Company, Company affiliates, you or others; (5) for purposes of third party marketing; (6) with your consent; and (7) with Company affiliates for business purposes consistent with our Privacy Policy https://techconsocal.com/privacy-policy/.
Except as described herein, the Company shall not share your Contact Information with exhibitors and/or sponsors prior to, during or after the Event if you choose to opt out of communications with third parties.
Participant Roster
Unless you have specifically opted out, by completing the registration process and acknowledging these Terms, you are providing consent for the Company to share your limited Contact Information on the Company participant roster.
You agree not to copy or permit to be copied, in any form or format, without the express written consent of the Company, any of the contents of the Event participant roster. You also agree not to use the roster contents for any commercial, marketing, promotional or political purposes. Communications from Company
By completing the registration process, you acknowledge that you will receive emails and other communications from the Company related to the Event to facilitate your participation, including providing you with access to Event programming, updates, special events, or digital recordings from the Event.
Admission Policies
A conference badge or ticket allows an attendee entry to the Event and to certain areas and sessions based on your participant registration type and package purchased. It does not guarantee admission to every session or meeting area.
For security and privacy reasons, badge swapping or sharing of access credentials is not permitted. Anyone found to be wearing a badge that does not match that person’s identification may be asked to leave the Event premises without a refund and that person’s registration will be cancelled.
Conference Code of Conduct
Company is committed to providing a professional, friendly, inclusive and welcoming environment for all Participants at its Event, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or other protected class.
We expect all Event Participants to help ensure a positive learning experience for everyone. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated during any portion of the Event.
All Participants must abide by the following policy:
Expected Behavior:
- Be considerate of those with whom you interact.
- Be collaborative with others.
- Be respectful of others’ viewpoints that may differ from your own.
- Be mindful of your words and actions.
- Adhere to all protocols required by Company and venue.
Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Offensive or unwanted behavior or language including, but not limited to, discriminatory behavior or language based on race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, age, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other similar categories.
- Visual harassment, such as displaying sexual or offensive images or inappropriate language at the Event, including in presentations, slide decks, as backgrounds, or on clothing.
- Intimidation or bullying, either online and/or in person.
- Possession of a weapon or something that could be construed as a weapon during the Event.
- Photographing or video or audio recording of slides, oral, or poster presentations without the presenter or author’s permission.
- Possession of illegal substances during the Event.
- Sharing your Event registration with another person(s).
- Inappropriate disruptions of the Event.
- Any other illegal activity not already mentioned above.
- Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning speech or actions.
- Real or implied threat of professional or financial damage or harm.
- Smoking or vaping inside the event premises

Consequences of misconduct or failure to follow Company’s expectations of behavior may include immediate removal from the Event without warning and/or restrictions from attending future Company events.
Minors:
A “Minor” shall be defined as any individual who is under eighteen (18) years of age or has not reached the age of majority as defined by such individual’s jurisdiction of residence. Company advises against Minors registering for the Event. In limited circumstances, Minors may attend the Event with permission from a legal guardian as Event volunteers, as John G. Watson Foundation sponsored students, or as Participants in the Event’s Young Entrepreneur Pitch event.
In the event Minors purchase tickets, the use of credentials by a Minor or any participation in the Event by a Minor is a representation and confirmation that such Minor has obtained the consent of the legal guardian. If a Minor attends the Event, we recommend their legal guardian attend with them.
Other Conference Policies
The Event is a private event, and weapons are strictly prohibited. Participants are forbidden from carrying weapons of any kind onto the premises of the Event. Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, without refund, to deactivate and/or revoke access of Participants who violate this policy.
Smoking or vaping is not permitted on the premises of the Event, except in designated outdoor areas.
Animals are prohibited at the Event other than animal(s) that serve as a guide or service function as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
As a courtesy to all Participants, Company requests that all electronic devices be silenced during sessions and other programming. If it is necessary to use your device, please step outside the meeting room to avoid disturbing others.
Guest Speakers
To provide our Participants with a platform for the exchange of ideas and insights, Company invites key subject matter experts and other speakers to share their perspectives. Guest speakers are not employees of Company and Company neither pre-reviews nor comments on the content of our guest speakers’ sessions. Guest speaker views and opinions are entirely their own, and in no way reflect the views and opinions of Company.
Consent to Being Recorded
By registering for the Event, you acknowledge and agree that Company, or others acting on behalf of Company, may take photographs and video and/or make sound recordings during the Event and that you may appear in such photographs, videos or audio recordings. You hereby grant Company permission to edit and use the footage captured at the Event for publicity purposes (including through social media), for posting including but not limited to on the Company website, related social media accounts, and other online platforms, now and in the future, and for any other lawful purpose in the ordinary course of its business.
During the Event, photography and videography by Participants for personal use may be permitted with the understanding that it may not be disruptive to other Participants, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, or the overall event.
You are prohibited from photographing, video recording and sound recording any part of any Event sessions or content unless you have first obtained express written consent from Company.
We ask that at all times, you respect the intellectual property, copyrights or trademarks of exhibitors, speakers, sponsors and Company.
Due to the prevalence of mobile devices today, Company disclaims all liability for the capture of your image, voice, or likeness by attendees (who are not under sponsorship contracts with Company) in any multimedia format at the Event.
Lost or Stolen Items
Company shall not be responsible for any articles, personal or otherwise, which are lost, stolen or damaged while attending the Event.
Any lost or found items at the Event can be turned in and claimed at the Event registration desk.

Assumption of Risk, Release and Waiver of Liability
Please review this ASSUMPTION OR RISK, RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, which describes the terms and conditions for in-person attendance at the Event.
In consideration of the opportunity to participate in the Event provided by Company, and its officers, directors, employees, members, volunteers, representatives and agents, you hereby FOREVER RELEASE, WAIVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Company, its officers, directors, employees, members, volunteers, representatives and agents from any and all liability, injury, damage, loss, or expense that may arise, directly or indirectly, now or in the future, regardless of whether caused by fault on the part of the Company, in connection with your participation in the Event, or any Event-related activities.
By participating in the Event, you hereby assume all risk of personal injury, damage and expense related to your participation in, and travel to and from, the Event.
This release and waiver are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law, and if any portion of this release and waiver are to be held invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect. This waiver and release shall extend to and be binding upon you, your estate, heirs, executors, administrators and personal representatives.
You understand that your participation in the Event is completely voluntary, and permitted at Company’s sole discretion, and you agree to abide by all policies and procedures as established by Company. If your conduct does not meet reasonable standards of behavior, including but not limited to following the instructions provided by Company, your participation in the Event may be revoked.
By registering and attending the Event, you signify that you have read these Conference Policies, the Waiver of Liability https://techconsocal.com/waiver-liability Terms of Service https://techconsocal.com/terms-of-service/ and Privacy Policy https://techconsocal.com/privacy-policy/ understood them and their terms and conditions, and agree to be bound legally by them and their terms and conditions.
