Shayne Skaff

As a successful entrepreneur with a background in strategic business development, Shayne Skaff is dedicated to guiding emerging technology companies to expedite growth and achieve their goals. From productizing and commercializing business offerings, to providing marketing, sales and overall operational counsel, Shayne brings over two decades of experience from operating and investing in SaaS businesses. In 2004, he founded MaintenanceNet, Inc., a SaaS platform that automated how companies managed and transacted annuity businesses.  Shayne led the company to its eventual acquisition by Cisco Systems in 2015. Shayne and his business partner then launched Mooring Ventures, a small venture fund focused on SaaS, B2B, enterprise software investments.  Since launching Mooring Ventures, Shayne has been involved with helping multiple entrepreneurs incubate, grow, and sell their businesses.  In 2018, Mooring Ventures backed the launch of The Sandbox, a SaaS AI incubator in San Diego.  Out of The Sandbox, Shayne launched Blooma, a software platform that automates CRE portfolio monitoring and loan origination.  Shayne has been recognized in CRN’s  “100 People You Should Know In Tech”, and was acknowledged with the Gold Stevie Award for Worldwide Executive of the Year.
